In the materials handling sector, where productivity and safety are major concerns, the introduction of new technologies can considerably improve the way tasks are carried out. Reglift has chosen to look at a promising subject: the integration of a motorised wheel on its forklift trucks. This innovation offers an ergonomic and efficient solution for workers.
One of the main features of an industrial truck fitted with a motorised wheel is its ability to considerably reduce the physical effort required to move heavy loads. This new option makes it easier for operators to move heavy loads over long distances, reducing the risk of injury from overloading or muscle fatigue.
A wheel that is totally in line with Reglift’s values:
▶ Ergonomics at the heart of our development
EWA* meets user expectations by optimising the handling and movement of heavy loads in production areas with restricted space. The compact, discreet design of the motorised wheel integrates perfectly with our R.205 mini-stacker, making this new solution suitable for a variety of applications.
The control button is integrated directly into our Ergo Control handle, ensuring optimum ergonomic use for the operator. The easy grip and user-friendly interface make it simple for operators to adopt the EWA.
*Electric Wheel Assist
▶ Improved productivity
Handle and move heavy loads of up to 200 kg without strain thanks to powered assistance. Electric assistance minimises physical effort, offering greater ease of movement, rotation and various manoeuvres.
▶ Enhanced safety
With EWA, the effort required to move heavy loads is reduced, greatly limiting the risk of injury to operators. Thanks to the control button integrated into the Ergo Control handle, the operator remains in control of the stacker, ensuring safe handling operations. The control button is very simple to use, offering a soft start and a speed proportional to the pressure applied. Speed is manually controlled up to a maximum of 0.75 m/s, with reverse speed limited to 0.4 m/s. An anti-crushing system in reverse completes the safety features: if the operator comes into contact with the brake bar, the latter rises and stops the motorised wheel.
▶ Out-of-Pair Flexibility
Thanks to a new tool plate designed specifically for EWA, most of our tools are compatible according to your needs, while maintaining optimum lift heights. The centre of gravity is just 100 mm further forward on the mast*. The EWA option is a new feature that can be adapted to all new and existing R.205 trolley.
